Ditch the Table Cameras for camera phones!

Instead of investing in those plastic wedding cameras that you leave on the table and HOPE that people will return (yeah right) why not leverage the power of the tech that's in the purses and pockets of your guests.  Print a few table cards (or better yet have a pro like http://www.momentaldesigns.com/rice-ink/ add them to your exquisitely crafted menus, invitations and other custom designed paper) asking your guests to add this small app to their smart phone and upload the photos they take to a common stream that everyone can then browse and enjoy.
Here's what the app is all about....(from the Android Marketplace)

Easily create group photo streams on the fly with friends, anytime, anywhere.
LiveShare makes group photo sharing simple.
-- Create as many photo streams as you want.
-- Make 'em as private as you want.
-- See everyone's photos all in one place.
LiveShare is the answer to the question, “Where's everyone’s photos from the party?”
With LiveShare, it's easy for you and your friends to snap photos at parties, get-togethers and other shared experiences, and enjoy them all in one place, in real-time. No more need to hunt through emails, social networks and photo sites to see everyone’s photos.
Whether it’s the bachelor party that needs to stay in Vegas, seeing what your best friends are doing right now or your group ski trip, LiveShare lets you create groups anytime and invite as many or few friends as you like to view and contribute to your shared photo streams.

You can also consider other services like flickr, picasa, etc.  This year my photo booth rental company (CNY Photo Booth) will be introducing a new concept called Personal Party Papparazzi which will include photos printed at the event featuring your guests as well as a common gallery where guests can upload, download and share their own digital photos with the Bride & Groom.  Look for the details in May!
